All About Ms. Knudson

"'Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn." -- Benjamin Franklin

My name is Masey Knudson and this is my 4th year teaching 4th grade at Sanborn Central School. I graduated from Dakota State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education, K-12 Endorsement in Technology and a Head Coach Endorsement in Volleyball. After taking one short year off, I began working on my Master's Degree in Science and Educational Technology. This past May I obtained my Master's Degree from Dakota State University. I will once again be coaching volleyball at Sanborn Central/Woonsocket this upcoming fall.

This past February I became engaged to Mathieu Pechholt whom I dated for many years. We are very busy planning our wedding next March and I look forward to sharing many of the details with my class this school year! Mathieu works for Wheat Growers in Huron so he spends much of the spring, summer, and fall out in the field working lots of hours. When we have a spare moment to breathe we enjoy outdoor activities, watching sports, or spending time with family and friends. You can find us wearing purple and gold come fall cheering for the Minnesota Vikings and blue, red, and white during baseball season hoping for victories from the Minnesota Twins. My parents Paul and Karen live in Tea as does my brother Kyle who will be a Senior in high school this year!! My sister, Brandi lives in North Carolina with her husband Adam. I try to take frequent trips to NC to soak up the sun and head to the beach!

Teaching is my passion and I truly love my job. I am so excited for this coming school year and cannot wait to get started. Rest assure we have a wonderful time in the 4th grade and although there is always work that comes along with learning, I do my very best to make learning exciting, fun, and encouraging for all students.
